The Company
About Interlusion
AI-native technology company crafting future-proof digital products and intelligent systems.
Building Fantastic Apps
Interlusion exists to build technology that feels effortless. Intelligent systems, designed beautifully, that make complexity disappear. The name fuses Internet and Illusion — inspired by Arthur C. Clarke: "Any sufficiently advanced technology is indistinguishable from magic."
Two pillars define the company: full-stack software development and AI services. Not as separate tracks, but as one integrated practice. Every product Interlusion builds runs on AI-driven workflows. Every AI engagement draws on decades of engineering discipline.
How it works
AI-Native — Not a Label, a Way of Working
AI-native isn't a marketing sticker. It's how Interlusion operates daily. Autonomous agents handle code generation, planning, code review, documentation, and business operations. Humans architect, supervise, and make judgment calls.
- Development
-
Agents write, refactor, and test code under human supervision
- Planning
-
Agent-assisted roadmapping, estimation, and task breakdown
- Review
-
Automated code review, security scanning, quality checks
- Operations
-
From accounting to documentation — agents handle the routine
Founder
Kersten Lorenz
Senior software architect with 25 years of deep-tech delivery across finance, media, and industrial IoT. Master's degree in Computer Science with a specialisation in Intelligent Systems — three real-world ML features shipped for enterprise clients.
A lifelong passion for art, music and visual design shapes every UX decision. This isn't an afterthought — it's structural. Products should be as elegant to use as they are robust under the hood.
Current focus: building an AI-native company where agents handle everything from software development to business operations — and helping clients do the same.
Built the entire Bettles MVP solo (UI, backend, infrastructure) in under 12 months. Based in Germany, operates as a global citizen.

The Mascot
Darbit
A hybrid rabbit-robot from a distant future timeline. Super-intelligent, endlessly curious, armed with self-built nano-gadgets that seem like magic. Darbit is the fictional embodiment of Interlusion's autonomous agent systems — not faceless algorithms, but a character with ingenuity and personality.
Where Kersten is the human architect, Darbit represents the intelligent agents that power the company. Helpful, witty, slightly enigmatic. The Interlusion logo? That's Darbit emerging from a magician's hat.
Dortmund, Germany
Based in the Ruhrgebiet — Germany's largest metropolitan region and a center of industrial reinvention. Interlusion operates with a global mindset, working with clients and partners across borders and time zones.
